Application Deadlines

Applications are accepted beginning every October 1 for the following academic school year.  There is no application deadline.  After classes for the coming school year are finalized in March, applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be considered if space allows.

Our admissions process is designed to educate prospective families about the unique advantages of an SJL experience and to assist you in making the best decision for your child’s education.

Preschool & Kindergarten

Please return the following to the school office for each student:

 

Gesell Screening

In February 2025, a Gesell screening appointment will be scheduled for current SJL preschoolers who are age-eligible.  There is a $50 screening fee.

 

Waiting List

Based on the number of spaces available in the class, children on the Kindergarten waiting list will be screened late February or early March.

Grades 1-8

Paperwork

Return the following to the school office for each student:

  • Grades 1-8 Application

  • Copy of birth certificate

  • Copy of latest report card

  • Copy of latest standardized testing results

  • $50 application fee (payable by cash or check; nonrefundable)

 

Classroom Shadow

We think one of the best ways for a prospective student to learn what it is like to be a student at SJL is to visit.

 

Entrance Screening

During the shadow visit, our teachers will perform an academic assessment. There is $25 fee.
