Welcome to St. John’s Lutheran School!
I am honored to serve as principal at St. John’s Lutheran School alongside this wonderful ministry team of administrators, faculty, and staff. This is my fifth year at St. John’s and I am thankful for the opportunity to carry out the mission of St. John’s where “all students will grow in their relationship with Christ and develop the knowledge and skills to be confident, academically capable individuals who serve Christ, His church, and His world.”
St. John’s Lutheran School is pleased to include you and your children as members of our community. It is our desire that you feel welcomed and loved here and that you have opportunities to get involved in a variety of activities both on and off campus throughout the school year. At St. John’s Lutheran School, we seek to provide a place where children can grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially in a caring environment where they can build their faith and confidence.
I look forward to working with you and your family. Many Blessings! – Principal, Christy Wood

Mission and Philosophy
Our purpose is to help students grow in their relationship with Christ and develop the knowledge and skills to be confident, academically capable individuals who serve Christ, His church, and His world.
Why Choose A Lutheran School?
Lutheran schools:
- Are driven by a commitment to the Gospel and focused on a mission of bringing hope and healing to students and families.
- Are governed by board members who clearly understand their roles and focus on the vision and board policies that effectively govern the operation of the school.
- Meet or exceed state and national academic standards at all grade levels.
- Have educators who model visionary leadership. They practice stewardship of resources, build up others and empathize with others.
- Have educators who model servant leadership. Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? (Robert Greenleaf)
- Have educators who model spiritual leadership. They study God’s Word, share their personal faith story, apply Law and Gospel appropriately, exhibit a passion for ministry, act courageously, equip God’s people for service, care for others, demonstrate integrity, and pray.

No, there is no actual fundraising amount required for the school. Every dollar that is raised by school planned events through our APT or hot lunch program goes directly to student enrichment, not to the general operating fund.
